Face Book

Ok, so a friend asked Tom to join Face Book, which he did. So, I have a question. What are the pros and cons of Face Book? I know that a number of you do have Face Book accounts. So, if you'd please let me know what you think of Face Book, I'd really appreciate it. Tom actually got to type to his cousin in Phoenix, so that was cool. I guess you can see who is online and then do an IM like thing with them. I don't know if I want to take the time or have the energy to do another thing besides this blog...so any and all advice would be appreciated!

I like Face Book. I have found lots of friends that I haven't seen or talked to in years. I would make your account private. Which means you can be searched for on face book but they would only see your profile pic. & name. Then they send you a message to confirm them as a friend. If you do then you can see their stuff and they your. It is a bit addicting.

Yes Michelle - do facebook :) It is easier than a blog. NO worries about making it cute everyone looks the same. What is nice is that it is a fast and easy way to chat at your convenience. I like it for keeping up with people that I would really like to keep up with, but that I don't want to call in the middle of dinner or something. Try it out and you can always delete your account if you don't like it. Hope you are doing well! Love and miss ya! Heidi

Hey Michele, You know me. I say it is a waste of time, but what Heidi and Emily said is true that you can find long lost friends. I don't like the idea of putting my thoughts out for everyone to read. I chuckle at what some people write on it. I know this sounds a little weird since I have a blog, but I view the blog as a way that family and friends can keep in touch with not being out to everyone and their dog. I might be naive about the whole Facebook thing, but I personally don't have the time to do Facebook in addition to my blog and I really like the blog. I actually thought I deleted my account last fall and my sister invited me a couple of weeks ago so I decided to start a new account. To my surprise, my account had only been deactivated and not cancelled last fall. I think, from the people I have mentioned this to, once you have an account, you are always there, whether active or not! I hope this made sense. Okay, so that was my 2 cents, or wait, 50 cents worth. We sure miss you and we are glad you are doing well in GA. Love Angie
